Safety camera zones
An Garda Síochána publishes the GoSafe mobile safety camera zones it enforces in — not fixed points, but stretches of road with a start, an end and a length, chosen using collision and speed data. This page groups every published zone by province and by county, sourced and dated below.
What a zone is
A zone is a stretch of road, not a single camera
Every entry in Garda's own file has a start point, an end point and a length in kilometres — not one coordinate. A marked GoSafe van can be anywhere inside that stretch on a given day; the file does not say where.
GoSafe is Ireland’s mobile safety camera programme: civilian-operated vans, marked with the safety camera symbol, deployed inside published zones rather than parked at one fixed spot. An Garda Síochána states the programme delivers a minimum of 6,000 enforcement hours a month nationwide.
Zone locations are not arbitrary. Garda’s own safety-camera-locations page states its method plainly: “All roads nationally were assessed by collision severity and occurrence (including where excessive speed was a factor in the outcome),” using “fatal and serious injury collision data from the last seven years and speed data, as well as feedback from stakeholders.” That is why every zone below carries fatal, serious and minor collision counts alongside its length — they are part of the same published basis for why that stretch of road was included, not a figure this site adds.

What this page does not cover
This file is scoped to GoSafe mobile zones only. Fixed (static) safety cameras and average-speed section-control cameras are separate Garda programmes with their own location pages, not covered by this file and not shown anywhere on this site. Garda also lists 55 locations the public has requested for consideration — those are not confirmed zones, carry no collision data, and are not shown as zones here. And the file is a snapshot: it is dated 7 January 2026, retrieved 19 August 2026, and Garda’s own live map may already show changes it does not yet reflect.
